“Change of Plans” is a delicious comedy, written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Danièle Thompson in collaboration with her son Christopher Thompson.
The film touches upon manners and relationships of several couples, who gather one summer day in an apartment to chat, share their points of view, discuss their goals and plans for the coming future etc., in other words – to spend a nice evening together.
The attendees of the party are: a divorce attorney, who is the owner of the apartment; attorney Lucas and his housewife Sarah; M.L. and her unemployed husband Piotr; Juliette, the sister of M.L., and her boyfriend Erwann, who is much older than she; oncologist Alain and his wife gynecologist Melanie.
During the party it becomes evident, that each of the acquaintances has troubles, which he or she tries to conceal from the others. The happy relations between the partners are appeared to be nothing else but cheat, while the atmosphere of their profound dissatisfaction is hard to be concealed…
