A former boy’s coach, Bill is working now as a dishwasher and drunk a lot. He has a teenage daughter, but the relations between them are far from being ideal, so that Bill feels he is hardly a good father and a good example for her. He didn’t get on in life, and getting drunk is his way to hide from himself and his problems. But one day he gets a chance to change his purposeless existence for better. A good friend of Bill, who is a high school principal, offers the former coach to train the girl’s team. Bill takes the offer to see, that the team he has to coach presents rather a sorry spectacle. The girls are unmotivated, alienated and mostly have no idea how to work as a team and how to play at all. Bill is not inspired either by his new position or by the girls, and they pay him the same.
But day by day the new coach together with his assistant Donna tries to motivate his unruly pupils and make them work as a team. Little by little Bill finds a contact with the girls and they achieve some encouraging results. And while the team improves, Bill also receives some lessons of how to bridge a gulf between him and his daughter.  The winning season is coming, and everything seems to be possible, if you work hard… Would it be successful for Bill and the team? Will see…
