Trish is separated from her husband Bill, who is sentenced to imprisonment. He appeared to be a pedophile, and Trish doesn’t want to keep any relations with him anymore. At present time she is dreaming to get married again. Her fiancé called Harvey could become a good husband for her and a promising father for her two sons. But as soon as Bill releases from the prison, and the would-be husband and step-father is introduced to the boys, Trish and her family have to make a decision. Should they forgive or forget? That is a question…
Joy, the sister of Trish, is also in trouble. Finally got rid of the relations with her degenerate husband called Allen, she leaves her job in New Jersey and decides to start a new life. But this is not so easy, as it seems. The past follows her wherever she goes.
Trish, Joy and Helen face their unique life dilemmas and have to struggle for their happiness and love. The film, where drama and comedy blends, shows how the future events in people’s lives depend on the present, and the present – on the past.
