“Sorry, Thanks”, directed by Dia Sokol, is his debut as a filmmaker. The main heroine of the film is Kira, played by Kenya Miles. Kira has lots of problems: as in her private life, so in the professional sphere. She has a relationship with Max, played by Wiley Wiggins, who seems to lack a traditional morality, concerning close relations. The thing is that besides Kira he has another girlfriend called Sara, and his relations with the last one are long-term. Still this fact doesn’t prevent him from having dates with Kira and feeling passion for her.
Due to this state of things Max sometimes fights against himself, often thinking of himself as an emotional idiot and a consummate freak. At the same time Kira is trying to win a prestigious job, although she is not interested in it and even hate it.
Occasional heartbreaking, aimless and rash actions, ill-considered steps to realize at the end, that they are not worth to be done – all these human weak points are perfectly represented in the comedy “Sorry, Thanks”. Inner turmoil of the heroes, shown in the film, makes them spread chaos among everything and everybody around them. They try to be better, but in most cases they fail to be better.
