Calvin Marshall is a college student, who has a dream since childhood. He is a big fan of baseball and hopes to succeed in this kind of sport one day. He dreams of playing for Major League and become a baseball star in the coming future. And the boy does have almost everything to fulfill his ambitions - everything, but the athletic constitution, which is unfortunately considered to be the determinant for playing baseball.
No matter what the trainer tells him, Calvin insists on his decision and is going to do everything possible and impossible to achieve his goal. The trainer, who feels sympathy to the guy, nevertheless doesn’t intend to make any changes in his team roster for the sake of Calvin.
At the same time the guy gets acquainted with a newcomer to their campus - Tori Jensen. She is a charming young lady, a talented volleyball player with good athletic abilities and just a cute girl to that. Their relationship is growing to romance, but the lie of Calvin can call their future on question. To the end of the film our hero will have to face the truth, no matter how painful or disappointing it could be.
The comedy “Calvin Marshall”, created by a filmmaker Gary Lundgren, touches upon the problem of taking one’s choice. The thing is that sometimes our ambitions have nothing in common with our abilities. “Calvin Marshall” is a good example of that.
