“Finding Bliss” is an extraordinary comedy, written and directed by Julie Davis. The story of the film touches upon life events of its main heroine called Jody.
Jody Balaban is an award-wining school grad, who is in her 25 years a consummate idealist. Due to circumstances she is searching for perspectives in her career, and the offer from Grind Productions to work for them came very opportunely.
It is a very well-paying job, but Jody is confused because this sort of job conflicts with her moral principles. She is offered to edit porn at Grind Productions. The company is run by a highly qualified business woman Irene Fox, who is a former porn star. She wants Jody to bring a female point of view to her films, and she is convincing enough, to persuade Jody to take her offer.
In return Irene allows the main heroine to use the studio for her own needs and objectives. And as far as Jody is pretty interested in making her own film, the opportunity to do that pleases her, and she agrees to do this job.
During her experience as a porn editor she meets many new people, involved in this sort of business. Jody’s principles about porn, sex and everything, connected with them couldn’t stay the same. Having changed her occupation, she changes as well…
