This is an impressive story of postman Eric Bishop, who works for sorting office in Manchester. To the middle of his life he faces a number of problems, one worse than the other one, which bring his life into total chaos.

For one Eric can’t find his second life partner, because she hasn’t appeared after her releasing from prison several months ago. For second he has to look after his two stepsons, who can neither stand their stepfather, nor respect him. But what makes the situation the worst is the older boy’s admiration for gangster Zac, terrorizing all the surroundings. Being a sort of his fan, Ryan considers it an honour to help the gangster, when the last one asks him to hide his gun in Eric Bishop’s house.

Besides the postman has a daughter Sam from the first marriage, who also troubles him. After her first baby was born, she decided, that her parents could reunite their family. So she asks her father Eric to go back to his ex-wife Lily.

The thoughts of Eric are in a whirl after all these problems. To find a way out the postman addresses to his special friend – a football genius Eric Cantona, depicted on the poster hanging on the wall. Being not only a football star, but a philosopher by nature, Cantona offers desperate Bishop his advice and assistance.
