“The Trotsky” is a curious comedy, written and directed by Jacob Tierney. Leon Bronstein is an extraordinary young man, who attends high school. He is not like the other students, and Leon’s main difference from them is his great past. To be more accurate – it is his previous reincarnation, which makes him unlike the most of common people. Leon is convinced to be one of the prominent figures of the Soviet period, the hero of Red Army – comrade Leon Trotsky. No matter, if his reincarnation is true or false, but Leon’s character is the reason of all the troubles. He manages to start a hunger strike at his father’s factory for one thing. And he has been exiled to public school by his dad as punishment. For seconds, even there the guy can’t live an ordinary life of a common student. His idea to change the world finds its reflection on his further actions. He has grandiose plans in here. The main goal of Trotsky now is to inspire his classmates for great rebellion. Besides Leon is going to convince a pretty cute girl, who is seven years older than he (like the Trotsky’s wife Alexandra), to become his passionate fiancée. And, of course, Trotsky cannot exist without Lenin. So, Leon has to find his leader, wherever he is…
