“Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee” is an improvised low-budget rockumentary, shot by Shane Meadows in the course of five days. Paddy Considine, starring as Le Donk, brings special atmosphere to this unpredictable comedy. Le Donk is a failed musician, living his lacking stability life and working as a rock roadie. He has lost his girlfriend, who doesn’t want to continue their relations and even see him, although he appears to be a father of a child she gave birth to. The film touches also upon the relationship between Le Donk’s ex-girl and her new partner, including some intimate details of their sex life.
At the same time he meets his new close friend and his big hope – a rap prodigy called Scor-zay-zee. With assistance of Meadows’s crew Le Donk dreams to make a new rap star. Scor-zay-zee, a burgeoning UK talent, is getting popular by his prominent rapping on vital themes and a bunch of various problems, actual to many people.
Shot spontaneously and during quite a short period of time, “Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee” is based nevertheless on several of short films about Le Donk, appeared some years ago. Since that time the rockumentary has got converted to a feature-length format.
